CovetED Magazine : Could you share the story of how you began your journey in the design world? What inspired your love for design?

Delphine Krakoff : I was fortunate to grow up in a family of collectors where art and design were always present, but I pursued a degree in business. CovetED Magazine : How would you define your design philosophy or signature style?

Delphine Krakoff : I don’t have any furniture deals or fabric lines, so I’m free to tailor each project to fit the client's lifestyle perfectly. No two interiors are alike because they’re crafted uniquely for each family. My style tends to blend contemporary elements with neoclassical influences, constantly evolving through new experiences and projects.

CovetED Magazine : What message do you wish to convey to the design community through your remarkable projects?

Delphine Krakoff : Beauty and functionality go hand-in-hand. Art and design should enhance daily life rather than exist as static objects. Ultimately, a home must reflect its owner's lifestyle, not the designer's vision.

CovetED Magazine : In your view, what major changes has the pandemic brought to the design industry?

Delphine Krakoff : Positively, people are placing greater emphasis on their homes and interiors since they spent so much time indoors. As a designer, I’ve had to think innovatively about multi-functional spaces, as many clients now require additional offices, gyms, and playrooms. On the downside, supply chain disruptions and rising costs affect every aspect of home renovations, even basic materials like 2x4s.
