At 3:00 PM on the 28th of this month, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France will come to a close. In celebration, Wuhan Wanda Department Store Han Street is hosting the first "French Week of Commodities" in 2015. This special event aims to bring the charm of French culture, fashion, and craftsmanship directly to consumers in Wuhan.
The "French Commodity Week" has been organized by Wanda Group and is supported by the French Chamber of Commerce and Investment in Beijing, as well as the French Embassy. It's a great opportunity for locals to experience a wide range of French products, from gourmet cuisine and fine wines to luxury cars, fashion, cosmetics, and even high-end timepieces.
This year’s event will showcase not only traditional French delicacies and wines but also a diverse selection of French brands, including renowned names like Heberlin and Linia, which have made a name for themselves in the Chinese market. These iconic watchmakers will be featured prominently, offering attendees a chance to explore the elegance and artistry behind French horology.
The event will run from January 28 to February 1, 2015. The opening ceremony on the 28th will be attended by Mr. Martin Ma, Consul General of France in Wuhan, Mr. An Cong, Deputy Director of the Commercial and Investment Department of the Embassy, and a senior vice president from Wanda. Representatives from the Embassy will introduce the participating brands one by one, highlighting their unique stories and contributions to French culture.
Attendees can look forward to an immersive experience where they can personally appreciate the beauty of French timepieces, discover the intricate craftsmanship behind each watch, and gain a deeper understanding of the art of French watchmaking.
France has long been known as the birthplace of mechanical watches in Europe and the world. Its rich tradition of horology dates back to the Middle Ages, with generations of skilled artisans shaping the industry into what it is today.
