New PS film will become the mainstream material for food packaging in China

In addition to the general properties of plastics, the new PS also has excellent self-extinguishing properties, oil resistance, moisture retention, and excellent moisture-proof, mildew-proof and other properties. At the same time, excellent printing and heat sealing properties have been widely used by food manufacturers.

In the United States, PS products are non-toxic and safe plastic materials, widely used in food packaging; in Germany, PS packaging materials are marked with green signs; in the small package of food, drugs, chemical products, electronic products circulating in the Japanese and Korean markets With a 60% share, similar products in developed countries account for about 40% of all flexible plastic packaging films. In the coming years, the production and processing technology of plastic composites, plastic alloys, inorganic materials, etc., filled with reinforced composites will be further improved and improved, and the performance, serialization, and functionalization of the products will also achieve greater progress. Increasing the quality of plastic packaging, added value and environmental adaptability, and developing new products will have even greater impact.
Plastic Packaging Materials Industry Key Development Product Type
In light of these development trends, the Plastic Packaging Committee of the China Packaging Federation believes that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the plastic packaging materials industry should focus on the development of the following products:
One is to vigorously adjust the product structure of the biaxially stretched film. Develop functional specialty films, adopt new technologies to develop high barrier films, develop green flexible packaging film bags, develop new non-toxic adhesives, non-toxic inks, and develop solvent-free composite processes to meet the hygienic and safety aspects of food packaging We will vigorously develop multi-layer co-extrusion technology equipment to increase the proportion of multi-layer co-extruded film to meet the needs of the packaging market.
The second is to develop thin-wall technology. Development of thin-walled and thin-walled containers, focusing on the development of ultra-large blow molding technology (capacity over 1000L) to meet the needs of chemical liquid packaging, especially the development of foamed polystyrene, foam sheet, adapted to food meat packaging and microwave ovens Food-specific materials; development of special-shaped blow molding technology, development of plastic trays to meet the needs of logistics and transportation; research and development of aseptic packaging technology; development of aseptic packaging bags and aseptic packaging bottles; research and development of preservation technologies; development of fresh fruit and vegetable packaging films; development of synthetic paper New technology, development of high-grade synthetic paper; research and development of anti-counterfeit packaging technology; development of new heat-shrinkable film, focus on the development of BOPS heat shrinkable film; research and development of degradation technology, new fully degradable packaging materials, focus on the development of polylactic acid packaging film; research and development of plastic packaging waste Recycling technology, focusing on the development of plastic-wood composite technology, in order to promote the development of resource recycling.
In China, the use of new PS film materials only accounts for about 6%. Among the types of meat products in China, ham sausage products are popular because of their long shelf life and portability.
