Six common die cutting faults

(1) The position of die-cut indentation is inaccurate. The reason for the failure is that the position is not consistent with the printed product; the position of the die-cutting and printing is not aligned; the rules of the paperboard are different; the position of the paper-feeding in the die-cutting operation is inconsistent; the paperboard is deformed or stretched during operation, and the overprinting is not quasi.

The solution is to re-calibrate the template according to product requirements, correct the position of printing and die-cutting, adjust the positional rules of the die-cut feeding, and ensure that the paper-feeding position is consistent; for the cause of the failure, reduce the defects of the printing and the material itself. The effect of cut quality.

(2) Die cutting edge is not light. The reason is the poor quality of the steel knife, the edge is not sharp, poor die-cutting adaptability; steel knife edge wear is serious, not timely replacement; machine pressure is not enough; when the die-cutting pressure is adjusted, the steel blade at the paper pad is handled improperly, the die-cutting pressure Discomfort.

The exclusion method is based on the different properties of die-cut cardboard, selecting steel knives of different quality characteristics to improve the die-cutting adaptability; frequently checking the cutting edge and wear condition of the steel blade and replacing the new steel knife in time; appropriately increasing the die-cutting of the die-cutting machine Pressure; readjust the blade pressure and replace the pad.

(3) After the die-cutting, the cardboard is stuck. The reason is that the rubber around the knife edge is too thin, causing insufficient resilience, or the rubber hard, medium and soft properties are not suitable; the steel blade is not sharp and the paper thickness is too large, causing too much pressure when the knife or die is cut. .

According to the distribution of the steel plate of the template, the rubber of different hardness can be reasonably selected. Attention should be paid to the moderate distribution of the density when the adhesive is sticky; the die-cutting pressure should be properly adjusted, and the steel knife should be replaced when necessary.

(4) Indentation is not clear dark lines, fried lines. The dark line refers to the indentation that should not be present, and the dead line refers to the fact that the cardboard is broken due to the pressure of the indentation. Caused by the fault is: copper pad thickness calculation is not accurate, pad paper is too low or too high; copper wire is not suitable; press machine pressure is not adjusted properly, too big or too small; paper is too bad, paper moisture content Low, increases brittleness and reduces toughness.

Re-calculate and adjust the thickness of steel wire-cutting; check whether the copper wire is suitable; adjust the pressure of the die-cutting machine appropriately; adjust the conditions of die-cutting and indentation according to the conditions of the embossed paperboard so that both can be adapted as much as possible.

(5) When folded, the cardboard cracks at the crease. When folded, such as cardboard cracks outside the crack, the reason is that the indentation is too deep or the width of the indentation is not enough; if the inside of the cardboard cracking, the indentation force for the mold is too large, folded too deep.

The thickness of the steel wire can be reduced appropriately; the width of the indentation line can be widened according to the thickness of the board; the pressure of the floor cutting machine can be appropriately reduced; or a copper wire with a slightly lower height can be used instead.

(6) Indentation line rule. The reason is that the indentation groove on the copper lined paper is too wide, the position of the paperboard is indefinite; the thickness of the copper lined paper is not enough, the groove angle is not standardized, there is an excess fillet, and the row knife and the solid knife tightness are not Suitably, the copper coins are too tight, and the bottom cannot achieve ideal connection with the platen plane. Twisting occurs easily when the indentation is made. The copper line is too loose, and the indentation is easy to move around.

The remedy is to replace the copper lined paper, so that the squeezing mark is kept narrower; the thickness of the steel line pad is increased, and the groove angle is trimmed; the tightness of the row knife when the knife is fixed should be appropriate.
