Total Output Value of China's Printing Industry in 2006 (I)

On January 25, 2007, Xie Fuzhan, director of the National Bureau of Statistics, described China's economic performance in 2006 with the theme of "China's national economy continuing to maintain steady and rapid development in 2006". The paper introduces: Preliminary calculations, GDP in 2006 was 2,904.7 billion yuan, calculated at comparable prices, an increase of 10.7% over the previous year, secondary industry added value of 1.02004 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5%; the year's total import and export 17606 Billion US dollars, an increase of 23.8% over the previous year. Among them, exports accounted for 969.1 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 27.2%, and imports of 791.6 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 20.0%; total social retail sales for the year reached 7641.0 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.7% over the previous year. In this context, China's printing industry has also achieved rapid development.

According to preliminary statistics from the China Printing and Equipment Equipment Industry Association, the total output value of the printing industry in China reached 380 billion yuan in 2006. The difference from previous years is that two sub-items have been added this year: the printing of this volume and the printing of commercial paper.

I. Output value of printing industry in 2006

Printing production value

In 2006, China's printing output value was 380 billion yuan. Of which, 20.5 billion is printed before printing, accounting for 5.4% of the total output value; book printing is 81 billion RMB, accounting for 21.3% of the total output value; newspaper printing is 52.5 billion RMB, accounting for 13.8% of total output value; packaging and decoration printing is 123.5 billion RMB, accounting for 32.5% of the total output value. Foreign trade printing was 36.0 billion yuan, accounting for 9.5% of the total output value; commercial paper printing was 15 billion yuan, accounting for 3.9% of the total output value; this volume of printing was 12.5 billion yuan, accounting for 3.3% of the total output value; other printing was 39 billion yuan, accounting for 10.3% of the total output value. .

2. Printing equipment output value

In 2006, the output value of printing equipment was 15 billion yuan.

3. Printing equipment output value

In 2006, the output value of printing equipment was 20 billion yuan, of which 13.5 billion yuan was for ink, 5 billion yuan for offset printing plates, and 1.5 billion yuan for other papers (in this case, paper and cardboard are listed separately).

4. Paper and cardboard

In 2006, the output of paper and paperboard closely related to printing was 34 million tons, and the output value was approximately 171.5 billion yuan.

II. Import and Export of Printing Equipment and Equipment in 2006

1. Import and export volume of printing equipment

Table 2: China's printing equipment import and export volume in 2006

Table 3: Comparison of import and export volume of printing equipment in 2005 and 2006 Unit: USD 100 million

Note: In 2006, an increase in the number of paper cutters and their parts was recorded in 2006, with an import value of 0.1131 billion US dollars and an export value of 0.0374 billion US dollars.

Due to the different understanding of import duty-free standards for printing presses, relevant departments had issued a document suspending duty-free imports of printing presses. People originally estimated that the import volume of printing equipment will fall significantly in 2006, especially the printing press. However, customs data showed that the import volume of printing equipment in 2006 was only 0.34% lower than in 2005, and that the printers, which saw a significant reduction, increased by 1.72% compared with 2005, but the increase was reduced anyway. As a whole, exports have risen dramatically, especially after-press equipment.

2. Details of printing equipment import and export

Below we divide into three parts (press, prepress equipment, postpress equipment) separately introduced.
