The principle of reinforcement is different for different reinforcement purposes:

Among them, VAfyd is the design shear strength of concrete members, Vc is the shear capacity of simple concrete, Vs is the shear capacity provided by steel bars, and VAfd is the shear capacity of aramid fiber cloth.

2) If interface cracks and interface peeling failures do not occur in bending and compression, the general reinforced concrete design theory can be applied to aramid reinforced steel-concrete structures. However, if the above situation occurs, the bending strength value of the reinforced concrete beam calculated by the traditional beam theory is reduced, and the reduction factor is 0.9. In addition, when the axial compression design is adopted, if the fiber cloth is applied to the ring, the axial compression strength and ductility of the structure will increase.

3) Ductility uAFd = 2.2 + 3.2 (VAFyd · la / MAFyd)
Among them, uAFd is the design ductility of the component, 2.2 and 3.2 are empirical constants (refer to Japanese specifications), VAFyd is the design shear strength, MAfyd is the design bending strength, and la is the shear span ratio of the component.

The above can be used not only as a design principle, but also as a basis for evaluating various reinforcement performances after component reinforcement. The fiber cloth is pasted on the surface of the concrete with resin, and the high-strength characteristics of the fiber cloth are fully utilized to bear the load together with the concrete.
