Biodegradable starch resin technology has become a new method of eradicating white pollution

The biodegradable starch resin technology provides a reliable means of implementation for the solution of white pollution. This technology has recently been approved by the National Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau and commissioned by China National Packaging Corporation.
This technology was introduced in China's Yangling Agricultural High-tech Industry Demonstration Zone. Professor Li Zhenqi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said: "The advent of this technology is a radical breakthrough in the resolution of white pollution, and its products are expected to replace traditional plastics widely used in production and life."
The principle of this technology is to physically degrade biodegradable starch and non-degradable plastics into granules of nanoscale and physically combine them in a certain proportion.
Using this technology, 100% biodegradable agricultural film can be produced. After 4-5 years of field experiments, the results show that within 70-90 days, starch completely degrades into water and carbon dioxide, and the plastic becomes harmless to soil and air. Fine particles, and completely degrade into water and carbon dioxide within 17 months. It is understood that biodegradable starch resin technology has been recognized as a national standard.
