Refillable PEN beer bottle

Rexon UK has launched a PEN beer bottle that can be refilled 20 times and can be recycled 100%. This is a 0.38L refillable PEN beer bottle for Pilsnar, the French winemaker Foroya Bjór. Foroya Bjór is the main brewer in the Faroe Islands, producing carbonated soft drinks and beer for 50,000 residents of the country.

In addition, the Faroe Islands are Denmark's overseas territories (non-EU members). Due to environmental factors, their laws prohibit the use of disposable bottles and cans and encourage the use of reusable cans. Beer is more sensitive to light and oxygen than soft drinks and water, and high product stability makes PEN materials particularly suitable for beer packaging. Currently, Rexam is the only company in the world to commercially produce PEN beer bottles.
