3D printed shock-absorbing high heels: comfortable as a strolling cloud

Not long ago, Shenzhen Beauty Maker designed a hollow high heel with hidden mystery using 3D printing . With the increasing use of 3D printing technology in the field of footwear design and production, it is a little regrettable that many designers have been paying more attention to their concepts and designs when designing 3D printed shoes. The more novel the better, the less the functionality of the shoe, and the comfort.

Neta Soreq noticed this. Soreq is a cutting-edge designer who just graduated from the Bezalel School of Art and Design in Jerusalem this year, studying jewellery and fashion design. She started her experimental footwear design from the second year of college, and focused on using 3D printing to achieve her ideas during her junior year.

At Bezalel, Soreq had already completed his first 3D printed shoe – even though it was just an initial attempt. The design at the time was inspired by Pink Floyd's classic album Dark Side of the Moon. Soreq used this concept to transcend simple vision or shape, but tried to wear it. The experience is accompanied by music for a trip to the moon.

Recently, Soreq has launched a new 3D printed shoe design. This shoe not only has a smooth line on the exterior, it gives a lively and youthful feeling, and it is also unique in its functional design. According to Soreq, the biggest feature of this shoe is its "spring shock-absorbing heel":

“My inspiration comes from the structure of the human foot muscles and the natural movement of the feet in different positions. This spring heel has a structure that acts as a shock absorber, so that the person wearing it gets a while walking. A brand new experience that doesn't feel pain or feel pressure like wearing ordinary high heels. It can also be helpful for people with problems with their knees and back."

At the time of design, she first sketched and then developed a digital model using SolidWorks. She even made a solid model with a 3D printing pen . After confirming the satisfaction of the design, she sent the 3D model to an Aran-RD SLS 3D printer and printed it on the Nylon12 material. To prevent friction with the floor, the sole was used by Object. Made of polymer. The shoe is both light and comfortable, and provides enough support in a way that counteracts the body's natural stress on the sole. In the words of Soreq, wearing it is like walking in the clouds.
