The book binding and bundling equipment widely used in various printing plants includes the horizontal type DK800 type and DK1100 type automatic bookbinding machine. It is possible to bundle 64 open pages to 16 open pages. The stackable pages each time have a thickness of 500 to 800 mm and 500 to 1100 mm. After pressing the signatures, the ropes are tied tight by hand to complete the binding. In order to prevent the rope from damaging the signature, both ends of the book bundle are provided with a grooved pad of the same size as the original.

The binding effect of signatures is directly related to the pressure and time of the binding. As the pressure and time of the bundle increase, the degree of compression of the signature is better. The pressure and time for binding bundles of signatures are interchangeable. That is, in the case of a large pressure, the effect of binding a signature in a short time and in the case of a small pressure is consistent with the effect of binding a signature for a long time. In order to shorten the processing cycle, when the book block is squeezed and the back of the book is squeezed in the flow line of the automated processing book block, a pressure method with a short time is used. In the semi-finished product warehouse, the signatures and book blocks stored for a longer period of time should be bundled with smaller pressure. In order to compress the signatures, in general, the time for binding the signatures should not be less than 3 to 6 hours.
