When I first came back, there were still 17 people in the production department of the troupe. As the old people retired one by one and could not find new people, it seems that they are saying goodbye every year. Since the retirement of the old predecessor Zeng Chengfu this month, the production department has only four of them left.

I have to admit that the unpopularity of this industry has made many people reluctant to devote themselves to it. Of course, there are more important reasons: the treatment is very low. "Whenever I look at the puppets I have made on stage, I feel very fulfilled in my heart. For more than ten years of work, I have deep feelings for puppets, and I can’t lose it." Talking about their dreams and persistence, their The face is full of happiness.

How many puppets have been made in these ten years, I have long been unable to remember, this year alone, they have done more than 100 puppets for the "Digital Family", "The Mirror Snow White", "The Adventures of Pinocchio" and so on.

Nowadays, they are very famous in the national industry. Usually, it is not only the provincial troupe who asks them to make puppets. The troupes all over the country have to look for them. So every day is a working day, every moment is working time.

They say that many of today's innovative puppets come from them. Some of the new techniques used by the troupe have long been used.

Four "comprehensive talents

I once heard an old puppet said that a puppet weighing more than 10 kilograms will usually be held for 35 minutes in a row. In the end, "the arm can't be lifted up, and the arm is still painful at night, so I can't sleep." Today's puppets are no longer made of wood, and are made into materials that are lighter and more realistic, such as rubber, sponge, and paper.
