Pulp Mold Industry Status and Development

In the buffer packaging field, the earliest buffering materials used were corrugated liners, separators, and waste paper strips. In the packing process requires a lot of manual labor, the buffer performance is not ideal. Instead of foamed plastics, “white pollution” is caused by foamed plastics, which provides a good opportunity for the development of the pulp mold industry. Looking at the development of the pulp mold industry, it was in the stage of research and development and in its infancy in the mid to late 1980s. It entered the commodity stage in the 1990s, and it will enter a stage of development and improvement after entering the 21st century. The pulp mouldings that were initially introduced are fruit trays for transport packages for eggs, duck eggs, fruits and the like. Later, it was used as a bottle holder for wine and medicine. It was welcomed by people and gradually occupied the market. It is then used in industrial product packaging, such as home appliances, hardware machinery, and communications equipment. Pulp molded products from the buffer packaging into the field of disposable cutlery is a leap in the industry, is China's specialty, marking the industry's maturity and development. China's pulp mold industry is a young industry and some problems will inevitably arise in the development process. The solution of the problem will bring about the development of the industry, and the business will always advance in the process of resolving the contradictions. In the past decade or so, many manufacturers have made great achievements in the research and development of pulp mold equipment. In such a short period of time, a variety of different process and structure production lines have emerged, which is enough to show the strength of the industry. However, the performance of paper-molded products, the research and standardization and serialization of the forming process and molds are still not perfect. The advent of any kind of material has the basis for the performance research and design theory of the material itself. Metal materials, plastics, and paper are all the same, and pulp molds are no exception. However, the current pulp mold performance research and design theory is not yet mature and has not formed its own system. This is the case in China and internationally. In particular, China's own raw materials: bamboo, reeds, bagasse and other more lack of due data; corresponding manuals, standards are not; the school does not have textbooks, no domestic professional research institutions. All this has affected the development of the pulp mold industry. The most important data in the design of pulp molding products are strength, cushioning properties, moisture resistance, etc. Due to lack of design basis, most of them are currently estimated based on experience, or refer to foreign samples, often develop a new product design, long production cycle, and some It takes several changes to succeed. The design of buffers for products with high crispness, such as computers, precision instruments, and household appliances, is crucial. The lack of this research will inevitably restrict the development of the industry. Any kind of product of the pulp mold must have a corresponding mold, so the product design of the pulp mold is integrated with the mold design. In other words, the pulp mold design itself also includes the mold design. Because the materials of pulp moldings are not as fluid as metals and plastics, the principle of forming and the principle of setting are not the same, so its mold has its own characteristics. The design of molds is also an important factor in the development of the industry. Some manufacturers' production lines cannot produce qualified products. The problem is on the mold. The pulp mold production process should also attract sufficient attention. The pulping process is critical to the product's performance. The pulping process originates from the paper mill's waste paper pulping process, but is distinct from the process. The fiber requirements of pulp mouldings are not exactly the same as the addition of auxiliaries to papermaking. If the fiber quality can not meet the requirements of the pulp molding products, it will affect the strength and cushioning properties of the products.
