Removal of Die-cutting Indentation "Blasting Line" Fault

"Explosion line" (also known as "burst line") appears as the indentation line breaks. The cause of this failure is mainly due to improper steel wire selection, improper pressure adjustment of the die-cutting machine, and poor paper quality of the printing paper, resulting in low fiber toughness, too brittleness, and low moisture content.

Not long ago, our factory produced a batch of packaging cartons, which were printed on domestically produced 400g / m2 whiteboard paper. During the die-cutting, a serious "explosion" phenomenon appeared. Although it was adjusted in many ways, the fault could not be completely eliminated.

After careful observation and analysis, it is believed that due to the dry winter weather, the water content of the paper is reduced, and the fiber becomes brittle. In addition, the domestic whiteboard paper itself has a low wood paddle content, short fiber, and high brittleness, which leads to the "explosion" phenomenon.

In the past, when we encountered this kind of situation, we generally used the "humidification" method to "regain moisture", and the problem could be solved. However, considering that there is heating in the air drying workshop in winter, the humidification effect may not be ideal, and the work piece is large in batch and the construction period is tight. The placement or hanging humidification is limited by the site and the construction period is difficult to guarantee. In addition, if the phenomenon of uneven "resurgence" occurs, a large amount of waste products may also be generated.

Later, we decided to move the job back to the printing shop. Use a single-color offset printing machine to print the water on the back of the printed part, that is: to release the ink roller of the offset printing machine, only close the water roller, and press the printing again. After printing, wrap the printed part with a large "plastic bag". , Wait for the next day moisture to completely "wet" the printed parts and then die-cut. In this way, we adopted the printing-die-cutting-glue assembly line operation method to successfully complete the task in a few days. It should be noted that after die-cutting the live parts, they must also be wrapped in "plastic bags" before they are pasted to avoid premature water loss and relapse of the old disease.
