Basic Industries of Saudi Arabia recently launched three new polypropylene impact copolymers at the 2002 Plastics Trade Show in Iran. These copolymers are sold under the brand names PP575H, PP790S and PP777Z. They have medium impact, high impact resistance and ultra high respectively. Impact strength.
According to reports, these three new products will be sold starting from the second quarter of 203, and can be used for the production of battery shells, automotive parts, hard packaging, and thin-walled products, as well as basic compounding materials.
Local market analysts pointed out that Iran currently has only one set of 100,000-ton/year polypropylene units. Saudi Basic Industries has great potential to sell these three polypropylenes on the Iranian market. At present, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation has approximately 30% market share in the polypropylene market in Iran.
