What is Barry?

A thin, breathable plain weave fabric woven from fine cotton yarn for curtains or summer clothing. Also known as glass yarn.

Barry yarn, also known as glass yarn, is a thin transparent fabric woven from plain weave of pure cotton and polyester-cotton. The warp and weft of the voile yarn is woven with combed yarn or strands. The twist of the yarn is also large. Or strong, in order to achieve clear hole, good ventilation, feel very cool, warp and weft yarn is more than 11 special (more than 55 British) a light cotton fabric. Its main purpose is to make salons, shirts, women's dresses, skirts, women's headscarves, curtains, decorative fabrics, etc., which are popular in tropical and subtropical regions.

The warp and weft yarns of the Barry yarn are made of 15 tex (40 lbs) to 10 tex (60 lbs) single yarns, and 6.5 tex x 2 (90 br./2) strands are also available, which are woven with plain weave. The finished product has a warp and weft density of (228-335) x 10 cm x (192-292) roots/10 cm and a width of 78-107 cm.

The warp and weft yarns in the fabric of the voile are either single yarns or strands. There are many varieties of Barry yarn, according to raw materials, there are pure cotton and polyester cotton voile; according to different processing, glass yarn has dyed glass yarn, bleached glass yarn, printed glass yarn, yarn-dyed jacquard glass yarn, etc. There are single yarn and strand voile.

The main features of the voile yarn are fine yarn count, high twist, thin density, fine combing and strong twisting, and the density of warp and weft in the fabric is relatively small. Due to the “fine” and “thin”, together with the strong twist, the texture of the fabric is light and thin. It has a smooth feel, good elasticity and strong anti-wrinkle performance. It is thin and cool in summer, similar to the style of silk georgette. The shrinkage rate of the yarn is relatively large, generally 5%-6%. Before cutting, it should be pre-shrinked by water. When washing, it should be gently rubbed in the soap to prevent fluffing and deformation of the cloth hole. Rinse with water after washing.

Sewing Thread

Sewing thread is the thread required for knitted clothing products. According to the raw materials, sewing thread can be divided into natural fiber, synthetic fiber and mixed sewing thread. With the development of polyester industry, more and more pure polyester fibers are used as raw materials for sewing thread.
Sewing thread refers to the thread used for sewing textile materials, plastics, leather products, books and periodicals, etc. The sewing thread has the characteristics of seamability, durability and appearance quality. Sewing thread is generally divided into three types: natural fiber type, chemical fiber type and mixed type due to different materials; The characteristics of sewing thread also have its unique performance due to different materials:
Cotton sewing thread
---Good heat resistance, poor elasticity, abrasion resistance, moisture resistance and bacteria resistance, suitable for high-speed sewing and durable pressing.
Long staple pure cotton thread is mostly used: it is made of long staple cotton through combing, singeing and mercerization, and it is twisted with high density, so the tension is better than ordinary combed pure cotton. It is often used for sewing pure cotton clothing and other pure cotton fabrics.
Pure cotton thread: It is generally divided into two parts: ordinary combed and combed. The real 100% pure cotton thread can be used for sewing is fully combed cotton. Generally, 402, 202 and 203 are used. It is made of combed and singed high-quality cotton in cotton area. Pure cotton thread is often used for sewing pure cotton clothing and other pure cotton fabrics.
