Surface plasmon resonance and high-throughput analytical instruments with integrated electrochemical methods pass acceptance

On April 10, the Planning and Finance Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized experts to conduct on-site acceptance of the research equipment development project "Integrated Electrochemical Method Surface Plasmon Resonance and High-throughput Analysis Instrument" undertaken by the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry. The acceptance experts listened to the conclusion of the project, financial and user usage reports, reviewed the acceptance materials submitted by the project team, and inspected the demonstration experimental operations of the prototype development. They agreed that the project passed the acceptance.

Surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy (SPR) technology is a brand-new biochemical analysis method with unique detection advantages such as real-time and label-free detection. It can be widely used in bioanalysis, inorganic materials, chemical analysis and materials science, etc. Research hotspots in the field of international sensors. The realization of the SPR instrument method with time-resolved acquisition function and the development of new electrochemical sensors, detectors and combined instruments with China's independent intellectual property rights are urgent needs of current scientific and technological production.

The project team aims to develop a surface plasmon resonance analysis and detection system with time-resolved measurement capability, electrochemical detection system, and high-throughput imaging analysis module. After more than two years of efforts, it has developed a time with independent intellectual property rights. The surface plasmon resonance spectrometer of resolution, electrochemical combination, imaging measurement and other functional modules can be applied to the interface small molecule adsorption reaction kinetics and the analysis measurement involving small molecule interaction, and can achieve a variety of electrochemical transients 1. Combination of steady-state technology; the instrument is novel in design and uses two-pixel optical position array sensor device, which greatly improves the time response of SPR spectroscopy measurement; through the combination with multiple electrochemical transient and steady-state technology methods , Which broadens the application field of SPR spectroscopy instruments.

The surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy and its associated instruments and equipment developed by the project have passed the technical test certification of Changchun City Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, and 15 engineering prototypes have been developed on a small scale, and have been applied in Tsinghua University, Jilin University, Changchun The scientific research and teaching units such as the Institute, the Institute of Chemistry, Northwest Normal University, Southeast University, Fuzhou University, etc. have had good results.

The integrated instrument system will be widely used in the electrochemical preparation, modification, electrochemical derivation of electrode interface nanostructure composite materials, electrode interface self-assembly, biochip analysis, medical and health, food, drug and poison analysis, etc. It is a useful supplement to the instruments and methods in the field of SPR and has a broad market prospect.

During the development of the project, 21 scientific research papers were published; 7 invention patents were applied for, 4 of which were authorized; 7 doctoral students and 2 master students were trained.
